Sustainable Cities and Communities
Dagupan Polyclinic Hospital is a key institution in Dagupan City, serving both as a healthcare provider and as a center for medical education. Dr. Francisco Duque Jr. conducts consultations here, and in 1969, the hospital became the birthplace of the region’s first nursing school, established by Lyceum-Northwestern University (then Lyceum College). This pioneering nursing program allowed local students to pursue quality education and careers in healthcare without leaving the region, strengthening the local healthcare system.
Aligned with SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, the hospital contributes to building resilient and sustainable urban areas by supporting both healthcare and education. By training a skilled workforce that serves regional health needs, the hospital continues to play a vital role in Dagupan’s growth, helping to create an inclusive, resilient, and healthy community.
