Strengthening Partnerships for Sustainable Development: L-NU’s Commitment to SDG 17
Partnership for the Goals
Lyceum-Northwestern University (L-NU) continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by actively strengthening collaboration with national government agencies, higher education institutions, and non-government organizations in advancing sustainable development and internationalization. During the CHED Region 1 Filipino Leaders in Advancing International Reputation (FLAIR) 2025: An Internationalization Masterclass for Region 1 Higher Education Institutions, held on September 30, 2025 at the PSU Golden Lion Hotel, L-NU proudly shared its institutional practices and global initiatives. Representing the University, Dr. Rodney Odesson P. Raguindin, Vice President for Academic Affairs, served as a resource person and presented how L-NU strategically aligns its internationalization efforts and SDG-driven programs with its core functions through the DOCTOR PACO Framework—highlighting that meaningful, multi-sectoral partnerships are at the heart of sustainable change.
Through its close engagement with CHED and collaboration with regional and national stakeholders, L-NU contributes to the development, refinement, and evaluation of SDG-aligned policies and strategies, particularly in education, health, governance, and community resilience. The University supports partners in identifying key development challenges, co-designing responsive interventions, modeling future scenarios, and establishing measurable mechanisms for monitoring and reporting progress. These shared efforts exemplify how SDG 17 is translated into action, positioning L-NU not only as an implementing institution but also as a strategic knowledge partner that strengthens institutional capacities and promotes evidence-based planning and policy-making.
Moreover, L-NU advances adaptive management by continuously aligning its initiatives with emerging needs, global benchmarks, and stakeholder feedback. Its involvement in regional consultations, international forums, and collaborative research strengthens its role in shaping responsive, future-ready strategies for sustainable development. Through platforms such as the CHED FLAIR Masterclass and other inter-institutional engagements, L-NU expands and deepens its network of partnerships, ensuring that collective action, shared expertise, and mutual accountability continue to drive progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals—with SDG 17 serving as the foundation that connects and amplifies its impact.
