Meaningful Participation of Local Stakeholders in L-NU Decision-Making
Lyceum-Northwestern University (L-NU) ensures that local stakeholders—including local residents, local government units (LGUs), civil society organizations, industry partners, and community groups—have meaningful mechanisms for participation in university decision-making. This is embedded in the university’s governance structure and community engagement policies.
L-NU regularly conducts consultative meetings, stakeholder forums, and multi-sectoral dialogues that allow these groups to contribute insights on institutional planning, community programs, research priorities, and academic initiatives. These engagements ensure that the university’s decisions remain responsive to community needs and aligned with broader societal goals.
In addition, local stakeholders participate as members of curriculum advisory boards, program review panels, and extension planning committees, where they provide direct feedback on academic relevance, workforce competencies, community issues, and emerging development priorities. Their involvement ensures that university policies and programs reflect the real needs of the community.
L-NU’s inclusive approach strengthens transparency, fosters shared responsibility, and reinforces strong partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, civil society, and local communities.
