L-NU’s Provision of Expert Advice to Local, Regional, and National Government
Lyceum-Northwestern University (L-NU) actively provides expert advice and technical support to various levels of government—local, regional, and national—through policy guidance, participation in committees, and the provision of research-based evidence.
At the local level, L-NU serves as a key academic partner of the Dagupan City Government, with university representatives participating as members of the City Scholarship Committee, helping evaluate applicants, formulate scholarship guidelines, and ensure equitable access to educational opportunities for city residents.
At the regional level, L-NU engages with government-led initiatives, offering expert input on educational planning, research priorities, healthcare programs, and community development activities within Region I.
At the national level, L-NU provides policy support to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), including participation in national consultations, technical working groups, and capacity-building programs. Notably, L-NU contributes to CHED’s SIKAP (Scholarship for Instructors’ Knowledge Advancement Program) by supporting faculty members’ further studies and aligning institutional policies with national educational development goals.
These multi-level engagements demonstrate L-NU’s commitment to public service, evidence-based policymaking, and strong government–academe collaboration.
