L-NU’s Outreach and Capacity-Building Programs for Public Leaders and Communities
Lyceum-Northwestern University (L-NU) provides extensive outreach, general education, and capacity-building opportunities to the public, including local leaders, community stakeholders, and individuals involved in policymaking.
A key component of this effort is L-NU’s TESDA-accredited programs, which offer free upskilling and vocational training to the community. These programs equip participants—including barangay officials, community workers, and public service personnel—with practical skills that enhance livelihood opportunities and strengthen local capacity.
In addition, L-NU regularly hosts public seminars and open lectures across various disciplines to support informed decision-making and community education. These sessions are accessible to the general public and cover topics relevant to governance, community development, technology, and social issues.
The L-NU College of Law also conducts free legal seminars, public legal education forums, and community legal awareness sessions. These activities help local leaders and community members understand legal processes, rights, responsibilities, and emerging legal issues—thereby contributing to better-informed governance and public policy at the local level.
Through these TESDA programs, public seminars, and legal education initiatives, L-NU demonstrates its commitment to strengthening community capability, advancing public knowledge, and supporting inclusive development.
