HALAMAN PROGRAM—Harmonya sa Aksyon para sa Pangmatagalang Pagpapanatili ng Kagandahan at Pagtataguyod ng Kalikasan
Climate Action, Good Health and Well Being
The NSTP Department took a significant step towards environmental sustainability and community well-being through the cleaning and beautification of the former botanical garden of the College of Pharmacy of Lyceum Northwestern University.
This initiative is part of the HALAMAN PROGRAM—Harmonya sa Aksyon para sa Pangmatagalang Pagpapanatili ng Kagandahan at Pagtataguyod ng Kalikasan—which emphasizes long-term environmental preservation and beautification.
The program aligns with the two critical United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 3, which promotes Good Health and Well-being, and SDG 13, which focuses on Climate Action. Through this project, the NSTP Department aims to create a healthier, cleaner environment that contributes to the overall well-being of the community and strengthens efforts to mitigate climate change.
Leading the activity was NSTP Department Head, Mrs. Princess Day B. Balolong, alongside NSTP instructor- Ms. Jamaica C. Menor and the NSTP Secretary- Mr. Jan Artmel T. Lopez, the maintenance team- Mr. Jimmy Biala, Mr. Boyet Rodriguez and Mr. Jierranie Sarmiento, and the first-year students of BS Maritime Transportation 1-A. Their collective effort symbolizes a shared commitment to fostering a greener, healthier future for all. Through collaboration and action, this beautification drive highlights the importance of environmental stewardship in ensuring a sustainable community.
