Good Health and Well-Being
Project Title: Mental Health Consultation and Counseling Services for Faculty and Staff
The Lyceum-Northwestern University Guidance Office’s Mental Health Consultation and Counseling Services program was launched to provide free, confidential, and professional psychological support to university personnel. In compliance with Republic Act No. 11036 (Mental Health Act) and in pursuit of UN SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, the program ensures that all faculty and staff members have access to mental health services that promote emotional resilience, stress management, and overall well-being.
The initiative recognizes that a mentally healthy workforce contributes significantly to the university’s productivity, collegiality, and positive organizational culture.
Impact: The program created a positive and measurable impact on the overall well-being and morale of university personnel. By providing safe, stigma-free, and confidential access to mental health professionals, the initiative helped faculty and staff manage stress more effectively, resulting in improved productivity and interpersonal relationships in the workplace.
The collaboration between the Guidance Office, HRD, and partner psychologists fostered a culture of empathy and proactive mental health care—aligned with institutional wellness goals and RA 11036 mandates.
The initiative also enhanced the university’s reputation as a mentally healthy workplace, encouraging staff retention and improving employee satisfaction.
