University Has Policies Around Minimization of Plastic Use

Our University has implemented strong policies focused on use minimization, particularly concerning plastic waste, through its Executive Order on Solid Waste Management. This executive order underscores the university’s commitment to reducing plastic consumption, promoting alternatives, and ensuring responsible waste disposal across campus. By enforcing strict guidelines on single-use plastics, the policy encourages sustainable practices such as the use of reusable containers, eco-friendly packaging, and reducing plastic-based waste in university operations. In line with the global movement toward reducing plastic pollution, LNU is taking active steps to minimize its environmental footprint and foster a culture of sustainability.
