NSTP 2 Students Take a Bold Step Towards a Greener Future: The Beautification and Transformation of the Botanical Garden into a Sustainable Development Goal Park

Lyceum Northwestern University (LNU) is taking a significant stride towards environmental sustainability and community well-being through the cleaning and beautification of its iconic Botanical Garden. This vital initiative is part of the university’s continuous efforts to promote a greener campus while instilling a sense of environmental stewardship.

This initiative not only enhances the physical beauty of the campus but also contributes to larger global goals. The project aligns with two critical United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being

SDG 13: Climate Action

This meaningful project was supervised by the esteemed OIC of Academic Affairs Office, Dr. Rodney Odesson P. Raguindin and led by the dynamic NSTP Head, Mrs. Princess Day B. Balolong. They were joined by NSTP instructor Ms. Jamaica C. Menor and NSTP Secretary Mr. Jan Artmel T. Lopez, who provided crucial support and coordination. The university’s dedicated maintenance team, as well as the enthusiastic second-year students from the BS Tourism Management and BS Hospitality Management also participated the initiative.
