University Provides Students and Staff with Access to Mental Health Support

Good Health and Well Being

In alignment with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Pillars of Wellness and recognizing the critical importance of mental health and well-being for students and staff in higher education, the Office of Student Affairs and Services, through its Department of Guidance Services, goes beyond providing essential guidance and counseling services. The department actively implements programs that equip both faculty and students with skills in facilitation and support.

One of these key initiatives is the Annual Training on Counseling and Facilitation Skills for faculty members, which enhances their ability to provide effective guidance within the academic environment. Additionally, select students from each college undergo training to become peer facilitators or student-guidance aides, empowering them to support their peers’ mental and emotional well-being.
