The University implements the following programs and policies for reduction of direct and indirect CO2 emissions:

Policy on vehicle entry and no idling policy to reduce CO2 emissions in the campus. 

Policy for proper utilization of electricity in the campus.

Monitoring mechanism of security personnel for monitoring of campus electrical consumption. 

Installation of Solar powered lights to provide campus parking lights.

L-NU plans to further expand its programs to include ZEVs friendly campus, carpooling, renewable energy source diversification and policies that aim to reduce employee travel and overall carbon footprint for 2025-2026. New programs are being developed by the Executive Committee to enhance L-NU’s response to climate change.

The L-NU Physical Plant Department starting next-year shall also prioritize the utilization of EEA appliances and devices for new installations within its campus.
