Lyceum Northwestern University’s Green Community Program, in partnership with the College of Nutrition and Dietetics and the City Agriculture Office of Dagupan, promotes sustainable agricultural practices and environmental stewardship. The program provides expert talks on climate change, various planting methods, hydroponics, and sustainable gardening, equipping barangay residents with valuable skills to grow their own food while minimizing environmental impact. By donating seeds and gardening materials, the program directly supports local food security and encourages sustainable, eco-friendly farming practices.

This initiative aligns with SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) by promoting food security through sustainable agriculture, SDG 13 (Climate Action) by educating communities on climate-resilient planting methods, and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by fostering sustainable gardening practices. The Green Community Program not only empowers residents with the tools to improve their nutrition and well-being but also contributes to building resilient, environmentally conscious communities that can thrive in the face of climate challenges.
